About Beaver Creek

Located just down the road from Vail, Beaver Creek is Colorado’s premier luxury ski destination, originally opening in 1980. Designed with a village-to-village ski experience in mind, it is famous for its impeccable guest service, heated walkways, and outdoor escalators—not to mention the legendary warm chocolate chip cookies handed out at the base every afternoon. It routinely hosts the prestigious Birds of Prey men’s World Cup downhill race.

Terrain and Trails

Don’t let the luxury pampering fool you; Beaver Creek boasts serious terrain. The resort features 2,082 skiable acres and a massive 3,340-foot vertical drop, serviced by an efficient network of 24 lifts. While the lower mountain offers pristinely groomed, ego-boosting corduroy perfect for beginners and cruisers, the upper reaches and the famed Grouse Mountain deliver some of the steepest, most sustained mogul runs and extreme glades in the state.
