About Bogus Basin

Located just 16 miles from downtown Boise, Bogus Basin is a beloved non-profit community mountain that has been serving Idaho skiers since 1942. Known for its accessible and affordable winter recreation, Bogus Basin offers a massive 2,600 acres of skiable terrain, making it one of the largest winter sports areas in the Pacific Northwest. The mountain features a respectable 1,800-foot vertical drop and is serviced by 10 lifts, including four high-speed quads.

Terrain and Trails

Bogus Basin features 88 named runs, with terrain perfectly split for all ability levels. Beginners can comfortably learn on the gentle slopes of the Coach chairlift, while intermediates have endless groomed cruisers like Paradise and Wildcat to carve up. For expert riders, the back side of the mountain offers steep, ungroomed challenges and powder stashes, particularly in the Pine Creek area.
