About Breckenridge

Breckenridge Ski Resort, affectionately known as “Breck,” is a world-renowned destination located in Colorado’s Summit County. Opened in 1961, the resort seamlessly blends a vibrant, historic Victorian mining town with massive, high-alpine skiing. Breck boasts an enormous 2,908 acres of skiable terrain spread across five distinct peaks (Peaks 6 through 10) of the Tenmile Range. The mountain offers a staggering 3,398-foot vertical drop and is famous for operating the Imperial Express SuperChair, the highest chairlift in North America, reaching an elevation of 12,840 feet.

Terrain and Trails

With 187 named trails serviced by 35 lifts, Breckenridge truly has something for everyone. Peak 9 is a beginner’s paradise with wide, gentle groomers, while Peak 10 offers steep, fast corduroy and moguls for advanced riders. Above the tree line, the Imperial Bowl and Peak 8 summits provide spectacular, wind-swept chutes and powder fields for experts. The resort is also famous for its massive terrain parks, routinely hosting world-class freestyle competitions like the Dew Tour.
