About Jack Frost Big Boulder

Jack Frost and Big Boulder are companion resorts located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, operating under the same umbrella to provide a comprehensive winter sports experience. Big Boulder is historically significant as the site of the first commercial ski resort in Pennsylvania and a pioneer in commercial snowmaking. Today, the two mountains complement each other, with Jack Frost offering traditional skiing and Big Boulder focusing heavily on freestyle terrain and night skiing.

Combined, the resorts offer 35 trails serviced by 22 lifts. Jack Frost features an “upside-down” layout where the lodge is at the summit, offering a 600-foot vertical drop and 21 trails that lean toward intermediate and advanced cruisers. Just a short drive away, Big Boulder features a 475-foot vertical drop with a massive dedication to terrain parks, making it a hub for snowboarders and freestyle skiers.
