About Jay Peak Resort

Jay Peak Resort, situated in the rugged Green Mountains of Northern Vermont near the Canadian border, is a legendary East Coast skiing destination. It is famous for the “Jay Cloud,” a localized weather phenomenon that dumps an average of 359 inches of natural snow annually—the most of any ski area in eastern North America. Beyond skiing, the resort is home to the massive Pump House Indoor Waterpark.

Terrain and Trails

Jay Peak offers 385 skiable acres and a formidable 2,153-foot vertical drop, serviced by 9 lifts, including Vermont’s only Aerial Tramway. The mountain features 81 trails, but its true claim to fame is its phenomenal glade skiing, offering some of the best tree runs on the East Coast, such as the Face Chutes and Timbuktu. The terrain skews advanced, but beginners and intermediates will find plenty of long, winding cruisers on the lower mountain.
