About Lake Louise

Situated in the heart of Banff National Park, Lake Louise Ski Resort is one of the largest and most picturesque ski destinations in North America. Skiing in the area dates back to the 1920s, and today the resort is famous worldwide for its breathtaking views of the Victoria Glacier and the iconic, frozen Lake Louise. The resort frequently kicks off the season by hosting early-winter FIS Ski World Cup downhill and super-G races.

Terrain and Trails

Lake Louise features a staggering 4,200 skiable acres across four mountain faces, offering a 3,250-foot vertical drop serviced by 11 lifts. The mountain provides remarkable variety, from the gentle beginner slopes at the base to the expansive, powder-filled Back Bowls. Famous runs include the thrilling Men’s Downhill course and the steep, challenging moguls of Outer Limits.
