About Laurel

Designed by European skiing legend Johann “Hannes” Schneider and opened in 1939, Laurel Mountain in Pennsylvania carries a rich history. Originally built for the exclusive Rolling Rock Club, the resort has maintained its classic charm. After being closed for over a decade, it triumphantly reopened under the management of Seven Springs in 2016.

Terrain and Trails

Though compact with 70 skiable acres, Laurel Mountain packs a punch with its 761-foot vertical drop. Serviced by 2 lifts, the mountain is most famous for the legendary Lower Wildcat trail. With a nearly 60% slope, it ranks as one of the steepest and most challenging runs in Pennsylvania, drawing expert skiers from all over the mid-Atlantic.
