Opening in 1966 near Wenatchee, Washington, Mission Ridge offers a distinct geographical advantage. Situated on the eastern side of the Cascade Mountains, it famously avoids the heavy, wet “Cascade Concrete” typical of coastal resorts, instead receiving lighter, drier powder and boasting an impressive 300 days of sunshine a year.
Mission Ridge provides 2,000 skiable acres and a robust 2,250-foot vertical drop, all serviced by 6 lifts. The mountain is built into a rugged basin, offering everything from wide, rolling groomers to steep chutes and expansive off-piste bowls. A staple of the resort is Bomber Bowl, named in honor of a B-24 Liberator bomber that tragically crashed on the mountain in 1944; parts of the wreckage can still be seen during the summer and lower snow years.
