The mountain is split into two distinct faces: the Main Lodge side, which offers fantastic beginner areas and sweeping intermediate cruisers, and the Slide Bowl side, which is famous for its sunny, rolling blue runs. For expert skiers and snowboarders, the crown jewel of Mt. Rose is “The Chutes,” offering 200 acres of incredibly steep, continuous 40-to-55-degree pitch double-black-diamond terrain that ranks among the most challenging in North America.
